Questions
- How is a pay raise calculated?
- New salary = current salary × (1 + raise % ÷ 100). For example, a 5% raise on $60,000 gives $63,000, an increase of $3,000.
- How do I find the percentage of my raise?
- Switch to "Raise to new salary", enter both salaries, and the tool computes (new − old) ÷ old × 100.
- How is the hourly rate figured?
- Annual salary is divided by hours per week × 52. With 40 hours a week that is 2,080 hours a year.
- Are the amounts before or after tax?
- All figures are gross, before taxes and deductions. Your take-home increase will be smaller. Nothing you enter leaves your browser.
