Reading time is estimated at 200 words per minute, a common average adult silent-reading speed. Speaking time is estimated at 130 words per minute, closer to a typical spoken pace.

What counts as a keyword in the density list?

Common stopwords (like 'the', 'and', 'is') are filtered out first. The remaining words are counted by frequency, and the top 10 are shown with their count and percentage of your total word count.

How are sentences and paragraphs counted?

Sentences are counted by splitting on '.', '!', or '?' followed by whitespace or the end of the text. Paragraphs are counted by splitting on blank lines.
