Questions

How is unit price calculated?
Unit price = price ÷ quantity. For example, a $4.99 box containing 12 ounces has a unit price of about $0.42 per ounce.
Can I compare items with different package units, like grams vs. ounces?
Convert one to match the other first, then enter quantities in a single consistent unit — the calculator doesn't convert between measurement systems for you.
Why does the best-value item change when I edit the fields?
The comparison recalculates live as you type, so the highlighted "best value" card always reflects the current numbers for every item in the list.
Is my pricing data sent anywhere?
No. All calculations run locally in your browser with JavaScript — nothing is transmitted or stored.
