Questions
- How is unit price calculated?
- Unit price = price ÷ quantity. For example, a $4.99 box containing 12 ounces has a unit price of about $0.42 per ounce.
- Can I compare items with different package units, like grams vs. ounces?
- Convert one to match the other first, then enter quantities in a single consistent unit — the calculator doesn't convert between measurement systems for you.
- Why does the best-value item change when I edit the fields?
- The comparison recalculates live as you type, so the highlighted "best value" card always reflects the current numbers for every item in the list.
- Is my pricing data sent anywhere?
- No. All calculations run locally in your browser with JavaScript — nothing is transmitted or stored.
