Questions

Is this a real font, like a .ttf I can install?
No — these are actual Unicode characters, not a font. Unicode includes whole alternate alphabets (Mathematical Bold, Fraktur, Double-Struck, Fullwidth, and more) originally meant for math notation, and this tool maps your regular letters to their look-alike characters in those blocks. Because they're real characters (not styling), they paste and display correctly anywhere plain text is accepted — Instagram bios, Discord nicknames, game usernames, tweets — without needing any special formatting support from the app.
Why do some styles skip numbers or punctuation?
A few of the Unicode blocks used for these styles (Italic, Script, Fraktur, Superscript, and others) were never given matching digit or symbol characters — Unicode simply doesn't define them. When a character has no equivalent in a given style, this tool leaves it unchanged rather than substituting something misleading, which is the standard convention other fancy-text generators follow too.
Why does fancy text sometimes show as boxes or question marks?
That happens when the app, font, or device you paste into doesn't have a font installed that covers those particular Unicode blocks — it's a display/font gap on that platform, not a problem with the characters themselves. Most modern phones, browsers, and apps (Instagram, Discord, X, iOS, Android) render them fine, but some older systems or custom fonts may not.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Every transformation happens locally in your browser with JavaScript character-mapping tables — nothing you type is uploaded, logged, or stored.
