Questions
- How are multi-word phrases turned into hashtags?
- Each phrase is split into individual words, each of which becomes its own hashtag, and the words are also joined together (e.g. "morning routine" becomes #Morning, #Routine, and #MorningRoutine) since both the individual and combined forms get used in practice.
- Which style should I use — CamelCase or lowercase?
- CamelCase (#MorningRoutine) is the most common convention for multi-word hashtags since it keeps them readable with no spaces. Lowercase (#morningroutine) is also common and matches how some platforms normalize hashtags internally. "As typed" keeps your original capitalization exactly.
- Does this check whether a hashtag is already popular or banned on a platform?
- No — it only generates hashtag text from your input. Popularity, reach, and platform-specific restrictions (some hashtags get shadow-banned on certain apps) aren't checked, so it's worth spot-checking any hashtag you're unsure about directly on the platform.
- Is my topic sent anywhere?
- No. Hashtags are generated locally in your browser with JavaScript — nothing is transmitted or stored.
