Can I count down to a specific date?

Yes. Switch to Date & time, pick the target date and time in your local time zone, and press Start. The display shows the days, hours, minutes, and seconds left.

Will it keep counting if I switch tabs?

Yes. The countdown is calculated from the real clock, so it stays accurate even if the browser slows down background tabs. The remaining time is also shown in the tab title.

Does it make a sound when it finishes?

It plays a short beep when the countdown ends. Your browser may block audio if you have not interacted with the page, so press Start at least once in that tab.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The countdown and its label stay in your browser and nothing is uploaded or saved.
